On a funny note, Elizabeth, John’s middle name, was drawn from a hat on a dare between his father and uncle Bobby. Secretly Bobby placed in the hat only girl’s names from the royal Vanworthings living in the Netherlands during the late19th Century (they were neighbors of the Van Goghs and were often asked to babysit young Vincent before he could say ‘potato chip’).
He’s also the inventor of the Snap-On Rocket Boot System.
